I love the Gold Coast!
Having travelled to a number of places around the world, including Switzerland, South Korea, New Zealand, Vanuatu, Singapore.
Also travelling 20,000 miles around the United States, over a 7 month period, in a 26 foot Motor Home with our 4 boys and visiting over 40 States, there is no place that compares to the Gold Coast in Queensland, Australia that has such a livable lifestyle 365 days a year.
We have absolutely everything here!
It is a wonderful destination for a holiday, raise a family or retire early.
Outstandingly beautiful beaches, beaches to walk for hours, and swim in lifeguard patrolled areas.
Dreamworld, Sea world, Wet nWild, Outback Spectacular Currumbin Wildlife Sanctuary, Adventure Parc on Tambourine Mountain and Movie world for the holiday maker.
Those of us who are blessed to call Gold Coast home great value year passes are available.
Green behind the gold - beautiful mountains with inspiring and challenging bush walks where you can hear Bell birds, King Parrots, Rosellas and Whip birds while discovering the waterfalls and rainforest's where paddy melons cross your path. Night time discover the glow worms at Natural Arch.
The Spit where you can snorkel and see masses of fish, and watch the dolphins. Take a fishing charter or cruise at the seaway at sunset.
Universities, Private schools Tafe and plenty of opportunities to start your own business or find work.
Shop till you drop at major centres and beach side markets.
Everyday, when I wake up and look out over the Coomera River I live on and I am so grateful.
The Coomera changes everyday depending on the sunlight, tides, weather conditions and time of day.
A gaggle of 30 wild geese living on a small island in middle of the river, wake us at sunrise.
They are such characters and most of the locals around here love them as much as I do.
They were here before we built our house and most of the people in our neighbourhood.
Often car horns can be heard from impatient drivers trying to move the geese as they wander up the middle of our street refusing to get over for anyone, they were here first.
Brisbane is assessed via a four lane highway. On return after crossing the Coomera, just before Oxenford I feel like I have reached the best place to live on earth, the Gold Coast.
